The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU National has said its ready to resume as soon as all demands are met by the federal government.
Speaking through it President, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed, had confirmed that the union held two meetings with the Briggs Committee.
Briggs committee are the committee set in place to by the federal ministry of education to look into the MoA with the striking varsity lecturers.
Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed the union leader stated that the union is ready to resume back to campuses if all the issues raised are discussed and agreed upon by the federal government.
According to him “Yes, the Briggs Committee is negotiating with the unions and the government should fast track the process. We are not used to staying at home; we are ready to go back to work as soon as all the issues we raised are discussed and agreed upon.”
SSANU had recently added four weeks strike to press forth it demands till they’re met.
