Reports suggest that the individual had left his initial location within the state and made his way to the bridge with the intent to take his own life.

As he attempted to hang himself, the situation caught the attention of several motorists and bystanders who wasted no time in rushing to his aid.

A viral video circulating on social media captured the intense struggle as Good Samaritans fought to save the man from the brink of tragedy.

The incident caused a significant traffic jam along the major road as onlookers became witnesses to this gripping rescue.

While the motives behind the man’s suicide attempt remain unclear, many speculate that the prevailing economic challenges in the region may have played a significant role.

In a separate, distressing incident, a herbalist identified as Terhemen Lorbee reportedly took his own life in Ushongo Local Government Area, Benue State.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, March 5th, when his lifeless body was discovered suspended from a rope tightly secured around his neck.

The deceased’s father, Iorbee Ndyar, and eldest son, Fater Terhemen, recounted that Orduen Kerchen, a colleague of the deceased, had brought him home around 10 PM. However, just days after his return, the married herbalist with three wives went missing on a fateful Friday morning, only to be found later, having tragically taken his own life by hanging.
