Wanted Lagos Businessman Who Circulated Nüde Photos Of Widows After Sleeping With Them Arrested

In a recent development, the Lagos state police command has announced the arrest of Amarah Kennedy, a businessman based in Lagos.

Kennedy had been on the run after being accused of circulating explicit photos of two single mothers with whom he had previous relationships.

The arrest was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos state police command, in a statement released on July 7.

According to reports by Freshreporters, the two victims, identified as Kester and Temi, had connected with Kennedy through various WhatsApp and Facebook singles chat groups at different times.

What started as innocent relationships turned sour when Kennedy allegedly began distributing the victims’ nude images to their relatives, colleagues, friends, and even a church WhatsApp group in the case of Kester.

Shockingly, Kennedy was reported to have made a chilling statement, declaring that suicide would be the only option for one of the victims. Kester, who had lost her husband eight years ago, disclosed that Kennedy showered her with monetary gifts after initiating contact. Feeling distressed and trapped, Kester complied with Kennedy’s demands and sent him money.

However, Kennedy continued to ask for additional funds, eventually leading to the circulation of the compromising images on Facebook. The situation overwhelmed Kester, who attempted suicide twice but was unsuccessful. The circulation of the photos also caused further distress as people began questioning her about the images.

The second victim, Temi, shared a similar experience, revealing that Kennedy engaged in prolonged sexual encounters with her at hotels while under the influence of drugs. When Temi ended the relationship upon realizing Kennedy’s lack of seriousness, he retaliated by sending her multiple explicit photos and demanding reimbursement for the expenses he claimed to have incurred during their time together.

Temi borrowed money to fulfill his demands and sought help from her sister on Facebook. In response, Kennedy resorted to circulating the explicit photos and repeatedly demanded money from her.

In an emotional interview, Kester expressed gratitude for the support she received from her late husband’s family. They encouraged her to report the incident to the police and vowed to fight for justice on her behalf. Kester tearfully admitted to entering a relationship with what she described as a “beast” and thanked her in-laws for standing by her side, emphasizing their determination to support her in the battle against Kennedy.

When contacted, Kennedy admitted to being aware of the police pursuit and had taken measures to evade capture, including installing an anti-tracking application on his phone.
