Galatasaray has officially signed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli in a landmark transfer that sets a new record for Turkish football.
The deal, valued at €75 million, makes Osimhen the most expensive player ever acquired by a Turkish club.
The Istanbul-based Super Lig champions announced the agreement for a four-year contract, which will commence at the start of the 2025-2026 season.
This signing shatters the previous transfer record of €20 million, which was paid by rivals Fenerbahce for Youssef En-Nesyri in July of the previous year.
Under the terms of the agreement, the 26-year-old forward will receive a net guaranteed salary of €15 million per season, along with a net loyalty bonus of €1 million annually.
The contract also includes an additional €5 million for image rights, granting the club permission to use Osimhen’s likeness for branding and promotional purposes.
Both clubs confirmed that Napoli will receive 10% of any future transfer fee if Galatasaray decides to sell the striker.
