UNIZIK Lecturer, Chima Anolue, Mûrdered By His Houseboy In Awka (Video)

In a shocking turn of events, a young lecturer from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, was brutally murdered by his houseboy during a heated argument.

The lecturer, identified as Chima Anolue, was a member of the Psychology Department. The unfortunate incident took place on Friday night in Ifite village, Awka.

Eyewitnesses and videos circulating on social media corroborate the account of the incident. The suspect confessed to the crime, revealing that the altercation began when the lecturer instructed him to cook rice and questioned why he had not washed the dishes.

According to the houseboy’s confession, the argument escalated when the lecturer slapped him twice, prompting a physical fight.

In a fit of rage, the houseboy picked up a pestle from the kitchen and struck Chima Anolue on the head multiple times. The assault continued until the lecturer collapsed on the ground. The suspect admitted to hitting him with the pestle up to three times.

The videos also capture the deceased lying lifeless in a hospital bed, surrounded by grieving relatives, friends, and hospital staff who were questioning the suspect. Shockingly, it was revealed that during the car ride to the hospital, the suspect attempted to strangle Chima Anolue, but other individuals present in the vehicle intervened, suspecting foul play. Before succumbing to his injuries, the lecturer managed to utter the suspect’s name, providing crucial evidence.

Initially, the suspect denied any involvement in Chima Anolue’s death, alleging that it was the deceased’s girlfriend who attacked him. However, he later confessed to the crime to the attending doctor at the hospital that night.

In a disturbing twist, witnesses near the crime scene alleged that the suspect, originally from Abakaliki, had further harmed the deceased’s body with a knife to create the appearance of an attack by a third party. The suspect vehemently denied these allegations.

Efforts to obtain an official statement from the spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, have been unsuccessful as he has yet to respond to messages at the time of this publication.
