UNILAG Students Stage In Protest, Lament Effects Of ASUU Strike

The students of the University of Lagos, UNILAG has today 9th of may, 2022 taken to the streets to protest the incessant strike by the ASUU union.

This is coming amid the new development of Amembers of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU new decision to extend the strike by another 12 weeks, approximately 3 months.

The UNILAG students according to the Freshreporters has seen carrying placards to reveal their plight over the Union strike of three months now.

some of the placards read, ‘We are tired of FG/ASUU face-off’, ‘Strike has killed our educational system, we need to go back to school’, ‘Age no dey my side’.

More schools are likely to join the ongoing protest, meanwhile last week, the university of Benin,UNIBEN and the Ambrose Ali University ekpoma AAU protested over the same ASUU strike in the Edo state Nigeria with a massive turn out from students.
