Two Boko Haram Fighters Surrender to Authorities

Two teenage fighters from Boko Haram’s Baakura group bravely chose to turn themselves in to the local police.

Close friends Hussaini and Kabulu decided to turn themselves in by secretly leaving their camp at Libye Soroa, at the northern end of Lake Chad.

The two combatants said that months of internal struggle and uncertainty about the group’s drawn-out and ultimately futile objective were the main factors in their decision.
