44 women, children, and elderly people have been rescued by the troops of Operation Lake Sanity IIII, a subsidiary of Operation Hadin Kai after making a significant penetration into the terrorists’ strongholds in Timbuktu Triangle, Damboa LGA of Borno State.
It was learned that on Saturday, April 20, 2024, the victims were rescued when a few ISWAP militants were defeated by Sector 2 Special Forces soldiers working with HYBRID and the Civilian Joint Task Force.
intelligence sources stated that the rescued victims comprised of 28 children, 14 women, and 2 males. However, during the operation, there were no reported military losses on the side of the forces.
