Troops Neutralize Notorious Bandit, Clear Terrorists’ Enclaves In Katsina

Maikusa, a well-known terrorist leader, was eliminated by Nigerian Army troops.

Maikusa was the cell’s second-in-command in Katsina state, under the leadership of the legendary terrorist Modi Modi.

It was gathered that during a counterinsurgency operation in Katsina State’s Kurfi and Safana Local Government Areas, troops shot and killed Maikusa and three other terrorists

It was gathered that the fierce operation was also successful in eliminating the terrorists’ strongholds in these areas.

The violent radicals fiercely resisted the forces during the operation, but they valiantly defeated the terrorists with superior firepower, eliminating some of them while others ran away.

Two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, 65 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition, a locally made gun, and a camouflage clothing were found by the military after the gunfight.

Along with clearing the areas, the forces demolished terrorist camps in the Safana LGA’s Ummadau and Zakka villages as well as the Kurfi LGA’s Wurma, Shaiskawa, Yauni, and Dogon Marke villages. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
