The Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project, IUFMP) has informed residents, motorists and commuters that construction of new bridges will start on the Ona River and Zartech-7UP Road, Oluyole, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
This development was announced in a video shared on the X handle of the Oyo State Government, on Tuesday, 5th of March, 2024.
It reads:
“On behalf of the Oyo State Government, the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project wishes to inform residents, motorists and commuters that construction of new bridges will start on the Ona River, at Odo Ona, Apata area by St Paul’s Church along Abeokuta Road, and Zartech-7UP Road, Oluyole Area.
“At Odo Ona Apata, the existing bridge will serve as an alternative route while the new bridge is being constructed by the side.
“For Zartech-7UP Road, Oluyole Area, Existing culvert will be demolished and a new one built to replace it.
“Motorist driving towards Mobil from Zartech-7UP will divert left by the road beside Sumal fence, just before Bovas petrol station, into the trailer park road, and turn right to link up with Total petrol station on Alaafin avenue.
“Motorists approaching Zartech-7UP from Mobil ring road will drive through Alaafin avenue and turn left at Total petrol station to connect their destinations.
“Adequate signages would be installed at strategic locations to caution motorists ahead.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>
