A terrifying incident unfolded at NPA Quarters, Nyanya Federal Housing, Abuja, as a septic tank, commonly known as a soak-away, collapsed, trapping three individuals inside. However, thanks to prompt rescue efforts, all three victims have been successfully rescued.
The incident occurred on Thursday, June 15, while the three individuals were in the process of evacuating debris from the old soak-away. Without warning, the structure gave way, leaving them trapped beneath the ground.
The Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) captured videos of the dramatic rescue operation. Medical personnel were present at the scene, swiftly attending to the rescued individuals as they were pulled out from the collapsed septic tank. The victims were immediately placed in an emergency vehicle to receive urgent medical attention.
The exact cause of the septic tank collapse is yet to be determined, and authorities will conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the factors that led to this unfortunate incident.
