Mary Remmy Njoku, Actress and filmmaker, has given thanks God that Nigeria didn’t forge ahead to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Nigeria, the super eagles player failed to qualify after playing a 1-1 draw with Ghana at the stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, 29th of March, 2022 against Ghana who qualified with an Away Goal.
The actress and filmmaker taking to her official Instagram platform has expressed satisfaction as Coded that a World Cup qualifier would have distracted Nigerians from the challenges ravaging the country.
According to her “Thank God, we didn’t qualify for the World Cup. It would have been a distraction. We need to focus on the real problems in Nigeria and pressure the government to do something. An attack on a train. An attack at the airport.”
An Abuja-Kaduna train which got attacked by bandits on the same day 29th of March, 2022 leading to death, kidnap and serious injuries.
