A Chinese mining company has come under attack by militants from Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) in the Koulikoro region of Mali.
According to Zagazola Makama, a publication focused on counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, the attack marks a continuation of escalating tensions in the area following recent clashes between JNIM and the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) near the town of Nara.
