Suspected bandits have attacked the National Park Service (NPS) office in Oloka, Oyo State. The assault occurred around 9 p.m. on Tuesday at a facility in the Oriire Local Government Area.
Preliminary reports indicate that as many as five NPS personnel may have been killed in the attack, although official casualty figures have not been confirmed.
The Oyo State Police Command spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the Commissioner of Police and senior officers are en route to the scene. He noted that tactical teams, Mobile Police, and bomb disposal units have been deployed to secure the area and prevent any further violence.
An investigation into the attack is currently underway, with more details expected to be released by authorities.
