Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has responded sharply to claims that he ignores calls from the public, describing such allegations as both misleading and disrespectful.
He made the remarks during the monthly Covenant Service at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Uyo on March 1, 2026, while addressing concerns related to the ongoing oil wells issue in the state.
Speaking passionately, the governor said, “Who are you that I should even pick your phone? It’s even an insult to be saying that to a governor,” adding that public criticism should be constructive rather than personal.
