Spanish Footballer, Naval Dies After Being Stabbed In Chest In A Random Attack

Francisco J. Naval Perez, a well-known Spanish footballer has passed away m in hospital after he was stabbed in the chest in Cadiz.

According to reports gathered on Monday, a 20-year-old man has been arrested after what appeared to be a random attack.

The Spanish Civil Guard revealed that there was no reason behind the attack and there were no known links between the two men that led to the death of the footballer thereafter.

The civil guard claimed that the attacker stabbed Perez without saying anything.

Following the tragic incident, Paco was taken to the hospital in Sanlucar and Jerez de la Frontera.

However, given the seriousness of the injuries he suffered, he had to be transferred to the Puerta del Mar hospital in Cadiz. He passed on at around 2.30 am on Sunday.

In a statement issued out Chipiona CF stated: “ Well, we don’t even have words, to begin with, this seems like a nightmare, but unfortunately it’s real, our player Paco Naval Perez has left us, he died this morning.”

The statement issued out added that Paco had been ‘fighting between life and death’ and that he ‘had his whole life ahead of him’.

Real Madrid football club also paid tribute to the star player saying, “‘Real Madrid CF deeply regrets the death of Paco Naval, a Chipiona CF player, and wishes to express its condolences and affection to all his family, his club, teammates and loved ones. RIP.”
