Recall that the singer was arrested, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Force Public Relations Officer, said that the Nigerian controversial street singer, Habeeb Okikiola professionally known as Portable, will face more than six charges in court.

The self-proclaim “Federal Government Liability” was nabbed on Friday after assaults on police force earlier during the week. It was gathered that Portable had been invited over severe reports made against him but the singer has refused to show up.

In a tweet shared by Adejobi in a Twitter thread on Saturday, the police PRO explained the difference between the alleged threat by Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo, and Portable’s case.

Responding to a Twitter user who compared both cases, Adejobi tweeted, “I am sure you are very awake as I have addressed MC’s case, but Portable has more than six count (sic) charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman.

“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who fired a petition to the Commissioner of Police in Ogun.

“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.

“So, there is no sentiment in law. Let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway. Ire o.”

Singer Portable landed in police custody on Friday and will remain there till Monday when he would be charged to court.
