Top political figures from Nigeria’s South West region are set to gather for the upcoming Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement South West Summit 2026.
Expected attendees include former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Seyi Bamgbade, Director General of the Tinubu Ambode Support Group, described the summit as a pivotal moment of collective responsibility aimed at deepening grassroots engagement across the region. He urged participants to strengthen outreach efforts and sustain political momentum toward greater national influence.
Other notable figures expected include Senator Solomon Adeola, Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and House of Representatives member James Abiodun Faleke.
Also on the list are Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa, and Seyi Tinubu. State governors billed to attend include Ekiti’s Abiodun Oyebanji, Lagos’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo’s Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Ogun’s Dapo Abiodun.
Bamgbade emphasised that the summit is more than a routine political gathering, describing it as a strategic platform to expand the party’s reach from the grassroots to the national stage. He added that the presence of key party figures reflects growing unity and a shared commitment to strengthening cohesion ahead of future elections.
