In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a yet-to-be-identified man was captured on a viral video attempting to stab an imam during the holy occasion of Eid prayers.
The incident reportedly occurred in Senegal as the Imam led a congregation of Muslim faithfuls in prayer.
Eyewitnesses recounted the terrifying moment when the unidentified man suddenly appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, and lunged at the Imam with a knife in hand.
The imam’s quick reflexes allowed him to evade the attack by swiftly leaping off the praying mat, narrowly avoiding a potentially fatal situation.
The video footage circulating online depicts the frenzied assailant relentlessly pursuing the imam, clearly showing his intent to harm. The congregation, initially taken aback by the sudden turn of events, swiftly sprang into action to protect their spiritual leader.
Brave individuals from the congregation intervened, managing to subdue the attacker before he could cause further harm.
