The heads of security arrived at the National Assembly on Wednesday in response to a Senate resolution demanding an interaction.
They arrived at the Senate Committee hearing in the hallowed Chambers at 12:39.
The invitation from the Service Chiefs was prompted by the alarmingly high levels of insecurity and the siege of Abuja, the Federal Capital.
It is anticipated that they will also inform the chamber about the smugglers and bandits who have infiltrated the FCT in an effort to resolve the matter permanently.
However, several areas of the southwest states, like Lagos and Ekiti, are also affected by the insecurity.
Following an extraordinary session on January 30, the first legislative day of the year, the Senate unanimously decided to call the service chiefs in response to the country’s recent wave of instability. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
