Social media users are furiously criticizing Rihanna over her current depiction as a Catholic nun on the cover of Interview magazine.
The 36-year-old vocalist was dressed in the customary black-and-white costume used by adherents of religious group.
Upon seeing the provocative photo of her, where she was seen showing off her cleavage with an unbuttoned top and bright red lipstick, a lot of people on social media accused the celebrity of insulting Catholics and Christians.
“So tired with all this unholy imagery!!!!’ one wrote while another called the concept ‘religious mockery.”
A third commented: “I love Rihanna but I never understand why the obsession with sexualizing religious representations.”
“Isn’t this blasphemy??” another asked.
