Tanker drivers in Rivers State, blocked a section of the East-West road from C4i junction to Ogbakiri junction in the Emohua Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
It was gathered that the drivers took the drastic action following a misunderstanding between the union and the Rivers State internal revenue task force.
In an update shared by an identified Facebook user, Uyi Eunice Umashime, revealed that normalcy had returned to the road.
She wrote, “Normalcy returns to the Emohua section of the East-West road earlier barricaded by truck drivers following a misunderstanding between members of the Rivers State internal revenue task force and truck drivers. There is free flow of traffic on the road now following the intervention of the chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd and security agencies.”
