Getafe forward, Mason Greenwood, has once again been the target of La Liga fans. During Sunday’s match, Real Sociedad supporters called the Man United loanee a “rapist” and urged him to “kill himself.”
This season, the Englishman has been the target of several taunts, and it persisted throughout the 1-1 tie at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
Greenwood received harsh criticism from the Sociedad supporters, and his manager Jose Bordalas was not happy.
After the match, he said, via AS: ‘I don’t have much to say. It is unacceptable. This is not the first time this has happened to us and we must take action. Like what happened in the game against Sevilla.’
The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Getafe, was charged with attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour in October 2022 but the case against him was subsequently dropped in February 2023 after key witnesses withdrew. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
