Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has condemned the shooting of Lagos-based legal practitioner, Bolanle Raheem Who was killed by a police officer on Christmas Day.
Via his twitter handle, the Former Vice President of Nigeria described the incident as heartbreaking and disappointing, he also called for urgent police reforms.
Atiku said, “The shooting of Bolanle Raheem by a police officer is heartbreaking and stands condemned. This latest shooting calls to attention the urgent need for Police reforms that will sanitise the Force and bring it in line with best policing practices.”
