The Presidential Inter-Ministerial Committee overseeing the state funeral for former President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Katsina State, signaling the final preparations for the late leader’s burial.
Chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the committee is on ground to ensure a dignified and well-coordinated funeral ceremony.
The committee comprises Ministers, including those of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Defence, Information and National Orientation, Works, Interior, FCT, Housing and Urban Development, Health and Social Welfare (State), and Art, Culture and Creative Economy.
Also included are the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Chief of Defence Staff.
