President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and spiritual renewal as the holy month of Ramadan begins, while also making a personal plea for forgiveness.
Speaking during the Ramadan Tafsir at the State House Mosque in Abuja, the president urged citizens to use the fasting period as an opportunity to draw closer to God and reflect on their actions.
“We start this Ramadan with all the teachings that it brings to us. We should use this fasting as a means to get closer to God and have peace,” he said.
In a humble appeal, Tinubu asked Nigerians to pardon him if he had wronged anyone, stating, “If I have sinned you, forgive me, as Nigerians.” He stressed the importance of national cohesion and spiritual rejuvenation throughout the Ramadan season.
