President Bola Ahmed Tinubu convened his inaugural meeting with the newly appointed service chiefs and Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) today at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, which took place two weeks after the President approved their appointments on June 19, 2023, aimed to discuss critical security matters affecting the nation.
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who also assumed his role on the same day, led the security chiefs and Acting IGP to the highly anticipated gathering.
The presence of these key officials demonstrated a unified commitment to tackling the nation’s security challenges effectively.
The esteemed attendees included Major General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff; Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff; Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; and Acting IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
