Pres. Tinubu to Commence One Week Official Visit and Private Vacation in Saint Lucia from June 28

President Bola Tinubu will leave Nigeria on June 28 for Saint Lucia, where he will engage in official duties and spend time on a private vacation.

The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre, disclosed the visit during a pre-cabinet press briefing on Monday, as reported by local outlet St Lucia Times.

According to Pierre, Tinubu’s official engagements will take place on June 30 and July 1, while the rest of his stay will be reserved for personal relaxation.

“The visit of the Nigerian president is a unique and historic moment to strengthen ties between Africa and the Caribbean,” Pierre said.

“Our region shares deep-rooted cultural and historical bonds with Africa, especially Nigeria. This visit reflects our shared heritage and the importance of building strategic and lasting partnerships.”

Pierre also revealed that he has invited leaders of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) to attend the official portion of Tinubu’s visit for high-level discussions.

Member countries of the OECS include Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Talks are expected to focus on collaboration in areas such as economic growth, education, infrastructure, and diplomatic relations. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
