Police vows to obey order against Sanusi II reinstatement as Kano Emir

The Kano state police command has vowed to obey the order from the Federal High Court in the state that barred the Kano State government from implementing the repealed law of Kano Emirates Council and reinstating Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor as Emir of Kano.

Freshreporters media had in barely 24 hours reported that Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court in the state on Friday, 24th of May, 2024, issued an ex-parte order restraining Governor Abba Yusuf from reinstating Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

While reinstating Sanusi as Emir on Friday, 24th of May, 2024 the state governor faulted the order saying the judge issued it from the United States.
