Police Officer Nabbed for Allegedly R*ping Teenage Girl Inside Edo Station

A police officer, Sergeant Abraham Uzuobo, is in hot water after being accused of assaulting a teenage girl held in custody at the South-Ibie Police Division in Edo State. Reports revealed that the girl, just 17 years old, had been detained over allegations of possessing stolen property.

From what Freshreporters News gathered, trouble started when Inspector Edith Eduma, the female officer on duty, stepped away from her post for a bit. Uzuobo is said to have seized the opportunity, sneaking into the cell, unlocking it, and taking the girl to the administrative office. That’s where he allegedly took advantage of her vulnerable state.

According to Daily Trust, a video of the incident surfaced, showing the girl lying helplessly on the floor. Meanwhile, Uzuobo, caught in the act with his trousers down, can be seen in a heated back-and-forth with Inspector Eduma, desperately trying to pull himself together.

Sources say the unsettling incident took place on October 10, 2024. Word from within the police force confirmed it happened the previous week. Suspicion arose when Inspector Eduma returned to her post only to discover the cell key had gone missing. Sensing something was off, she raised the alarm, leading to the shocking discovery of both Uzuobo and the teenager inside one of the station’s offices.

But here’s where things take a wild turn. Instead of reporting Uzuobo’s actions up the chain of command, Eduma allegedly reached out to her husband and two other colleagues. Rumors have it she later pocketed ₦45,000 from Uzuobo to keep things hush-hush. But it didn’t end there—she reportedly turned around and demanded an additional ₦1 million, threatening to leak the video online if he didn’t cough it up.

Now, the truth behind those blackmail claims hasn’t been fully confirmed. However, internal police communications did mention the alleged extortion attempt. Following an orderly room trial, both Uzuobo and Eduma were recommended for dismissal due to what the force described as disgraceful conduct.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Moses Yamu, said he’d issue a statement later, explaining that he was currently on the road from Auchi to Benin. Asked whether the incident actually occurred, Yamu played it safe, neither confirming nor denying it before the call ended.

Further attempts to reach him by phone went unanswered, and as of the time this report was filed, a follow-up text message had also gone without a reply…[CONTINUE READING HERE]>>
