A grandmother identified as Fatimo Ganiyu was detained by the Lagos State Police Command on Friday in the Ikotun area of the state for allegedly confining her three grandkids in a room for many days.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the police public relations officer, revealed this information via his ‘X’ account. He stated that watchful neighbors informed the authorities about the children’s predicament, which resulted in their rescue and the grandmother’s detention.
The two boys and one girl, aged two to four, were reportedly imprisoned in Agodo Egbe in the Ikotun neighborhood of Lagos for days without access to food or water.
The children will receive the appropriate care and attention, according to Hundeyin, who also asked Lagos residents to report any suspicious activities to the police. The investigation into the case is still underway, he added. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
