Officers from the Igando Division recently arrested 20-year-old Hammed Olawale and 23-year-old Japhet Oderinde after responding to a distress call detailing a violent altercation between two opposing cult groups.
It was gathered that police officers responded quickly and found the suspects in possession of four live 9mm rounds and a locally manufactured semiautomatic weapon.
Sadly, one of those involved in the altercation, 26-year-old Abeeb Fagbohun, was discovered to have been shot and was sent to the hospital right away for critical care.
The Lagos state police spokesperson , Benjamin Hundeyin who shared the development on social media wrote:
“20-year-old Hammed Olawale and 23-year-old Japhet Oderinde have been arrested by officers from Igando Division after responding to a distress call that two rival cult groups had gone on rampage.
“The two suspects were found in possession of a locally fabricated semiautomatic pistol with four live rounds of 9mm ammunition. 26-year-old Abeeb Fagbohun was found shot and promptly taken to hospital.
