The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old suspect, Kingsley Ugochukwu, during a raid in Ogwashi-Uku, recovering a locally fabricated pistol in the process.
The States’ Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a video he shared via X, on Monday, noting that Ugochukwu was apprehended by operatives of the Command during an intelligence-led operation.
However, while in custody, the suspect reportedly contacted his wife by phone and instructed her to dispose of another firearm allegedly hidden at their residence.
The video was captioned:
“The suspect Kingsley Ugochukwu, aged 40 years, was arrested by the command’s operatives during a raid in Ogwashi-Uku and the locally fabricated pistol was recovered from him. “
