Pastor Questions Married Women Using His Photo as Profile Picture

A sermon by Senior Pastor Emmanuel Iren has sparked online discussion after he addressed relationship dynamics, loyalty, and spousal prioritization within marriage.

Speaking during a church service, Pastor Iren advised men to observe how their wives prioritize them, stating that such actions are a clear indicator of genuine affection. “Watch how your woman prioritizes you that shows how much she truly loves you,” he said.

He also cautioned women about the signals they may unintentionally send, noting that certain behaviors can project vulnerability. “Let me say it to you, there are ways men can look at you and know you are vulnerable,” he remarked.

The cleric emphasized that even spiritual leaders should not occupy the foremost place in a married woman’s life. “Let me say this to you Christian ladies: even your pastor is not permitted to be number one in your life,” he stated.

He further questioned the choice of some married women to feature their pastor’s photograph on their social media profiles instead of their husband’s, suggesting this could breed marital discord. “Some women are the reason some men don’t like pastors. Tell me, as a woman, why would you put a pastor’s picture on your profile when you have a husband?” he asked.
