Tension gripped the Ota-Ona community in Ikorodu, Lagos State, following the collapse of an uncompleted two-storey building, with several persons feared trapped beneath the rubble.
The incident occurred directly opposite the Mobil Filling Station (formerly Bugon Filling Station), drawing immediate attention after a Facebook user, Rasheed Fatuga, raised the alarm online.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, and as of press time, five individuals had been rescued alive.
However, the number of those still buried under the debris remains unclear.
