In preparation for the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Oyo State Government has provided festive commodity advances to civil and public servants across the state.
The distribution exercise took place at the premises of the Agricultural Credit Corporation, Total Garden, Ibadan.
It was overseen by the Chairman of the Corporation, Taofeek Akeugbagold.
Items distributed included rams, bags of rice, vegetable oil, and other essential foodstuffs.
Akeugbagold noted that the initiative is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of state workers, particularly during festive periods.
He stated that over 5,000 workers have already benefited from the scheme, which offers commodities at significantly subsidised rates compared to current market prices.
