Ogun Police Warn of Consequences if Mirabel’s Rápe Allegations Are False

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, has described the ongoing case involving Mirabel as a matter of national importance with deep societal implications. Speaking on the investigation, he outlined two possible outcomes.

“If she is telling the truth based on her account and experience, the perpetrator will be arrested and appropriately charged in court,” Babaseyi said. “On the other hand, if the claims are found to be false, the law provides for consequences, and anyone giving false information can be held culpable.”

He stressed the importance of a thorough and impartial investigation, noting that whichever way the case unfolds, the results will carry serious consequences.
