The Ogun State Police Command has released Abigeal Nsikak, known as Mirabel on TikTok, following her public allegation of rape.
In a statement, the Command said Mirabel was received at the station and immediately taken to a medical facility for examination to verify her claims.
The statement added that she has since been released into the custody of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development for her welfare and continued support.
The police emphasised that the case is being handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and diligence. They urged the public to refrain from speculation, allow the investigation to run its course, and avoid actions that could hinder the process.
Authorities also encouraged anyone with credible information to come forward through official channels.
