The family of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has decided to dismiss his legal team comprising Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mike Ozekhome and Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The announcement was made by Kanu’s younger brother, Kanunta Kanu, in a statement posted on his Twitter handle on Thursday, June 15.
The statement, titled “Notice of Dismissal reads, “I hereby formally notify @MikeozekhomeSAN and @lfeanyiEjiofor that their services are no longer required in #MaziNnamdiKanu case pending before the Supreme Court of Nigeria and all concerning him.”
