The Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon is broken by Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya.
Tunde Onakoya played chess for 60 hours straight without losing, breaking the current 58 hours.
Freshreporters learned that the effort started on April 17 at Times Square in New York City and ended today, April 20.
The record is currently awaiting certification from Guinness World Records, after which he will be recognized as the new world record holder. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
