Popular Nigerian musician and songwriter Odumodublavk has publicly declared his unwavering support for Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), after the cleric called for donations during the Holy Ghost Service at the RCCG Campground last Friday.
In a passionate statement shared on his social media, Odumodublavk stated, “If I had a billion to contribute to the RCCG, I will do it and even more. It is not by force to serve the Lord. They did not say if you do not drop 1B you will not enter heaven.”
The artiste, known for his bold and unapologetic stance on issues, further emphasized his commitment to supporting the work of God, saying,
“As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly no matter what you people throw at us.”
His comments come amid mixed reactions from the public following Pastor Adeboye’s appeal for financial contributions to support the church’s projects. While some criticized the call for donations, others, like Odumodublavk, defended the move, citing biblical principles of giving.
He concluded his message with a firm declaration, “You are just fulfilling the scriptures. God bless you ❤️.”
The debate over church donations continues to spark discussions among Nigerians, with many weighing in on the role of financial contributions in religious institutions.
However, Odumodublavk’s stance reinforces the belief of many faithful members who see giving as an act of worship and commitment to God’s work.
