Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade have disrupted bandit activities and arrested a logistics supplier in coordinated operations across Kogi State.
According to a statement by Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, troops ambushed bandits based on credible intelligence of their movement in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area. The engagement resulted in two bandits being neutralized and the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, ammunition, and other weapons.
In a related operation in Yagba West LGA, the army, acting on further intelligence and in conjunction with local vigilantes, conducted a fighting patrol. During this mission, they arrested a suspected bandit logistics supplier, identified as Sunday Adedotun. The suspect was reportedly found in possession of supplies such as cartons of drinks, bottled water, and harvested farm produce intended for the armed group.
The statement highlighted that these successful operations were based on coordinated patrols and intelligence, demonstrating the military’s continued efforts to curb banditry in the state.
