Nigerian Air Force Tarmac Four cadet drowned in the swimming pool of a well-known hotel in Umuahia, the state capital of Abia.
The victim, named as CDT Emmanuel Chidiebere Onyeomereneche, with registration number NDA 13257, passed away few months before he was set to graduate from the National Defence Academy.
When the event occurred, the cadet had arrived at the facility with buddies and was swimming in the pool when it happened.
According to a source who requested to remain anonymous, the victim vanished from the pool’s surface on Tuesday night at about 6:37 p.m.
The source claims that state fire service personnel subsequently discovered his lifeless corpse and determined it to be deceased at the Federal Medical Center Umuahia.
ASP Maureen Chinaka, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, verified the event on Friday.
