The Nigeria Federal Government announced that Nigeria requires $10 billion in power sector investment over the next five to ten years to achieve a 24-hour electricity supply.
Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, shared this on Wednesday, 13th of November 2024 Abuja.
He noted that the government cannot tackle the country’s power sector and challenges alone, highlighting the need for private sector partnerships.
“Achieving 24-hour power supply within 10 years requires a funding commitment of around $10 billion, which the government alone cannot provide.
