Newlywed Woman Allegedly Mûrders Husband in Niger State

Aisha Aliyu, a 20-year-old newlywed from Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government Area, Niger State, allegedly killed her husband, Idris Ahmadu.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened on Monday at around 1:00 am in the morning.

Sources familiar with the incident disclosed that they had a heated argument on December 31, 2023. But on Sunday night, things became tense, and the couple got into a small argument. Even though they made up before going to bed, disaster struck in the middle of the night when the deceased’s mother heard her son screaming.

Witnesses recounted that the altercation escalated, with Aisha allegedly stabbing Idris in the chest before committing the heinous act of slaughtering him.

Addressing speculations surrounding the nature of their marriage, sources clarified that while the couple had been in a long-term relationship, Aisha had a change of heart regarding the union after the wedding date was set.
