The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Port Harcourt Operations office, has responded to a fire incident that engulfed the Lebavic Complex, a three-storey building along Eneka Link Road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The rapid intervention followed a distress call from a passerby, prompting the immediate deployment of NEMA’s emergency response team led by the Head of Operations, Mr. Ebhodaghe Eric.
According to a statement on NEMA’s official X handle, on Saturday, although the fire destroyed goods and household items within the building, no casualty was reported.
NEMA’s statement reads:
“The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Port Harcourt Operations Office, promptly responded to a fire incident at the Lebavic Complex, a three-storey building located along Eneka Link Road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
“The emergency response team, led by the Head of Operations, Mr. Ebhodaghe Eric, acted swiftly in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service, State Fire Service, and the Nigeria Police Force following a distress call from a passerby who alerted the Operations Office.
“Mr. Ebhodaghe promptly coordinated relevant stakeholders to ensure a quick and effective response. The fire, which destroyed goods and household items, fortunately did not result in any casualties. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
