The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, south west zone, has distributed relief materials to victims of Rainstorm Disaster in Iloko-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State to cushion the impact of the disaster that affected the community.
The Assistant Zonal Coordinator, Olanrewaju Kazeem, while distributing the items sympathised with the affected persons over the unfortunate incident that wreaked havoc on the community.
This was disclosed in a post shared by the agency on Saturday, 27th of July, 2024.
The caption reads:
“NEMA South West Zonal office, Ibadan distributed relief materials to victims of Rainstorm Disaster in Iloko-Ijesa ORIADE LGA of Osun State to cushion the impact of the disaster on them.
“The distribution exercise which took place at the palace of Owa Loko of loko-Ijesa,Oba (Dr.) Akeem Ogungbangbe JP. Was carried out in conjunction with Osun State SEMA and was witnessed by S.A to the Gov. on Emergency, Hon. Mrs Emiola Fakeye , Hon Commissioner for Empowerment Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe and other top Government functionaries.
“While flagging off the exercise, the Assistant Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Olanrewaju Kazeem sympathized with the affected persons over the unfortunate incident that wreak havoc on the community.
“He charged them on embracing Disaster Risk Reduction to mitigate recurrent event.
