Naval Chief Ogalla commences three-day working visit to Denmark

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, on Monday, commenced a three-day official working visit to Denmark at the invitation of the Danish Navy.

The visit is aimed at deepening strategic collaboration and enhancing operational ties between the Nigerian and Danish navies.

On the first day of the visit, Vice Admiral Ogalla embarked on a short boat trip with the Admiral of the Danish Navy, Rear Admiral Søren Kjeldsen, marking a symbolic gesture of naval solidarity and cooperation.

Accompanying the CNS were the acting Nigerian Ambassador to Sweden and representative to the Nordic countries, Elias-Fatile, fdc; the Navy Secretary, Rear Admiral Patrick Nwatu; and Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to the United Kingdom, Brigadier General Manu.

The statement reads:

“On Monday 16 June 2025, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla commenced a 3-day working visit to Denmark. The working visit which is at the instance of the Danish Navy aims to strengthen cooperation between both navies.

“Day 1 of the visit saw the CNS take a short boat trip with the Admiral of the Danish Navy, Rear Admiral Søren Kjeldsen. In the company of the CNS was the acting Nigerian Ambassador to Sweden who also oversees the Nordic countries, Dr. Elias-Fatile, fdc, the Navy Secretary, Rear Admiral Patrick Nwatu and Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to London, Brigadier General Manu.

“Other engagements on the first day of the working visit was a meeting with the CEO of Blue Denmark and a discussion session with the Denmark Ministry of Defence’s Centre for Security and Operations.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
