The Naira gained N28.15 in the official market on Tuesday, ending the month of April on a positive note and trading at N1,390.96 to the dollar.
According to information obtained from the FMDQ Exchange’s official trading platform, which is in charge of managing the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), the gain amounted to a 1.98 percent appreciation of the Naira.
In comparison to Monday, April 29, the previous trading date, there has been a notable percentage gain.
The local currency steadily declined over the course of two weeks, trading at N1,419 to the dollar.
The amount of currency transacted grew along with the overall daily turnover, mirroring the success narrative.
On Tuesday, the daily turnover increased to 225.36 million dollars from Monday’s reported 147.83 million dollars. (CONTINUE READING HERE)
