NAF Airstrïke Déstroys Bándits’ Base, Rescues 76 K!dnapped Victims in Katsina state

The Nigerian Air Force, NAF has successfully carried out a targeted airstrike on a notorious bandit hideout in Katsina State, rescuing 76 kidnapped victims, including women and children.

According to Nasir Mu’azu, Katsina’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, the operation took place at Pauwa Hill in the Kankara LGA — a known base of the notorious bandit leader, Babaro, and his gang, who were responsible for the recent attack on Gidan Mantau in Malumfashi LGA.

The precision air raid, conducted between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., resulted in the destruction of Babaro’s stronghold. Tragically, one child lost his life during the rescue.

“All those abducted in the Gidan Mantau attack were among those rescued,” Mu’azu confirmed.

He described the strike as a major breakthrough in the government’s broader mission to dismantle criminal networks and reclaim affected communities. The operation was praised for its coordination between air and ground forces.

The state government expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Air Force, Army, and other agencies for their bravery and pledged ongoing support through logistics and intelligence.

Residents were urged to remain alert and report suspicious activity to help security forces root out banditry.
